Type Locality and Naming

By the village of Duobak, South Gissar. M.R. Jalilov, 1968 (190, p.43). Stratotype on the right bank of the Shirkent River near the village of Duobak. Included in the Tyubegatan Horizon (56; 189; 452).

Synonym: Duobakskaya Suite, Дуобакская св.


Lithology and Thickness

Grey clays with layers of siltstone (aleurolites), shell rocks, glauconitic sandstones. Thickness 60-67m.

Lower contact

Conformably overlies the Shirabad Fm

It is conformably overlain by the Kharangon Fm.
